Murder in Kaspi – Man killed, His Wife Badly Wounded

A murder has occurred in Kaspi Municipality, the Village of Khidiskuri. A middle-aged man was shot and killed in the yard of the own house, his wife was wounded and placed to the hospital. The health condition of the wounded woman is grave.

According to the MIA, the murderer was identified and investigative activities are underway.

The investigation has been launched on the fact of attempted murder of two or more persons in aggravating circumstances, under Article 108 and subparagraph "a" of the third part of Article 109 of the Criminal Code of Georgia. The offense counts between 16 and 20 years of imprisonment or life imprisonment.

Update: The officers of the Police Department of Shida Kartli and Kaspi Regional Division, as a result of joint immediate operative-investigative activities, detained N.K. (DoB 1981) for premeditated murder.

The investigation established that the offender attacked the couple in the yard of their own house. He shot several times from the gun, killed the man and badly wounded his wife in the head.

Neighbors name revenge as the alleged cause of the murder. According to locals, the killed man, Sh. J. murdered an uncle of the offender 30 years ago. After that, he was imprisoned for 10 years.

Nevertheless, neighbors find it difficult to explain why N. K. took revenge after so many years.
