Jabbarov Demands Formal Apology from Tbilisi

Vladimir Jabbarov, Deputy Chair of the Federation Council Committee on Foreign Affairs of Russia, has made a statement earlier today, demanding the formal apology from Tbilisi to Russia “for the provocations against the Russian delegates at the Interparliamentary Assembly on Orthodoxy”.

However, the Official is against expelling Georgia from the Assembly, stating that the interests of Georgian Orthodoxy should not be violated.

“The activities of the provocateurs assist the enemies of Georgia,” said Jabbarov.

The Russian lawmaker also stated that it is frustrating that the international event was used for the augmentation of tension between the two countries.
