Volodin: Georgia Should Guarantee Safety of Russians
The Government of Georgia should guarantee that the safety of Russians will be protected in the country, otherwise, tourism will not be encouraged,- Chairman of the Russian Duma, Vyacheslav Volodin, told reporters when asked about Putin's decision to ban Russian flights to Georgia from July 8.
According to him, Russia should protect its citizens and as now they do not have such a guarantee, it is not recommended to develop tourism or stimulate it.
He added that the radicals conducting anti-Russian provocations are "damaging their citizens and businesses".
As a reminder, Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree prohibiting Russian airlines from carrying Russian citizens to Georgia from July 8. The relevant order is published on the Kremlin website.
