Russian MP Responds to Georgian Footballers

Igor Lebedev, Member of the Parliament of the Russian Federation, has responded to the Georgian footballers of the clubs Torpedo Kutaisi and Locomotive Tbilisi who appeared pre-match in anti-occupation T-shirts. Lebedev called on FIFA to react to such actions at the official games within the framework of its entitlement. The MP made the statement through his official Twitter page.

Georgian football players expressed their solidarity to this week's demonstrators, who are protesting Russia’s occupation policy, by wearing T-Shirts with the message “We remember that 20% of Georgia is occupied” on June 22.
