Basketball Star Zaza Pachulia Invites Fans to Georgia

The prominent Georgian basketball player Zaza Pachulia has joined the "Visit Georgia" campaign, calling on his fans worldwide to visit Georgia.

He has posted photos of beautiful Georgian landscapes on his Facebook and Instagram accounts and invited his followers and fans to visit this "amazing country".

“To all my followers, NBA fans all over the world, travelers, wine lovers, foodies - you all are invited in this beautiful and amazing country”, Pachulia wrote.

The campaign with the hashtag #visitGeorgia was launched after Russian President Vladimir Putin’s decision to ban Russia’s airlines from flying to Georgia from July 8. 

Zaza Pachulia is a Georgian professional basketball player for the Detroit Pistons of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He won NBA championships with the Golden State Warriors in 2017 and 2018.

He has played for the Georgia national team, captaining them in multiple tournaments.

Pachulia was the captain of the Georgian national basketball team until September 2017.
