Udumashvili: Dictatorship is Being Established in Georgia
“Everything that happened in the Parliament today is shameful,” stated Zaal Udumashvili, one of the representatives of the National Movement Party, commenting on the decision made at the joint sitting of the Parliamentary Procedural and Legal Affairs Committees. He went on to claim it to be "a step against the entire country and its future, rather than only against Nika Melia".
Udumashvli said that dictatorship is being established in Georgia, claiming: “From tomorrow, we can change the name of our country to ‘North Korea’.”
The Georgian Parliamentary Procedural and Legal Affairs committees agreed to the appeal of the General Prosecutor’s Office to apply to Court with mediation to impose detention to Nika Melia, MP of the National Movement Party.
