Czech Republic Deprives Russian Airlines of Flight Permits

The authorities of the Czech Republic aviation decided to deprive a number of Russian Airlines of the right to carry out direct flights from Russia to the Czech Republic. Following the restrictions, Aeroflot, budget Airline Pobeda, as well as Ural Airlines, suspended a number of flights. Aeroflot has cancelled the majority of the Moscow-Prague-Moscow flights, while Pobeda revoked its two bi-weekly trips to Karlovy Vary, and Ural Airlines annulled flights from the Czech Republic to Ekaterinburg and Zhukovsky International Airport.

Based on a source, Reuters states that the given step was taken by the Czech Republic due to the failure to agree with the Russian companies to grant Czech Airlines permission to offer Prague-Seoul flights via Trans-Siberian routes.
