KTW Removes Russian Flag from Factory
The company "Kakhetian Traditional Winemaking" condemns Kremlin's policy towards Georgia. According to the representatives of the company, the Russian flag is no longer erected on the territory of the wine factory.
"Kakhetian Traditional Winemaking", as well as the whole Georgia, condemns Russia's state policy towards our country," reads the company's statement.
According to the company, for years, the flags of all the countries having business relationships with them were erected on the territory of the wine factory.
“Kakhetian Traditional Winemaking, just like many other companies or businesses, maintains only business positions on the Russian export markets. However, due to the recent developments in the country, Russia's flag is no longer erected on the territory of the wine factory," said the representatives of Georgian wine company.

After the Russian President Vladimir Putin's so-called Travel Embargo, namely the decision to ban Russia's airlines from flying to Georgia from July 8, The Russian Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing began to make statements against Georgian wine.
According to their statements, the quality of wine and other alcoholic beverages imported from Georgia deteriorates from year to year, so they are forced to tighten control on Georgian products.
"The Federal Service for Surveillance on Consumer Rights Protection and Human Wellbeing systematically monitors the quality and safety of alcohol entering the territory of the Russian Federation from Georgia. The dynamic of regular control shows the deterioration of alcohol quality. The amount of alcohol, which failed to meet the requirements increased 2,9 times from 2014 to 2018 and reached 203 thousand liters", reports the website of the Agency.
