Alpine Village to be Built in Gudauri Resort

A private company plans to build Alpine Village in Gudauri, ski resort in Georgia. Six partners have bought 50 ha of land in Gudauri, where the mountain village is to be developed for four seasons.

The business plan was presented by the company at the Silk Road Forum. According to the project, two, three and four star hotels  - housing 1300 rooms in total - will be build.

The company also considers building restaurants, cafes, bars, various relaxation areas: swimming pools, spa areas, wine bars, night clubs and a children's zone.

The first phase of development is planned in 2016-2018, the second and the third phase should be implemented in 2018-2021.

The total investment is $120 million, but the partners are seeking $ 30 million in foreign funding. The Alpine village target markets are Russia, Ukraine and Poland.
