Wizz Air Celebrates 7 Years in Georgia, Serves 2 mln Passengers
On July 3, Wizz Air, a Hungarian low-cost airline, celebrated the 7th anniversary of successful operation in Kutaisi International Airport. Since the launch of the first flight, Wizz Air has catered for 2 million passengers.
Ana Heintz, the traveler from Dortmund, Germany, was the 2 millionth passenger of Wizz Air in Georgia, who was welcomed at the Kutaisi International Airport by George Chogovadze, CEO of the United Airports of Georgia, Akaki Saghirashvili, Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, and Garth Lund, Head of Pricing and Revenue Management of Wizz Air.
The lucky traveler was given a 200 EUR voucher, enabling her to travel to more than 600 destinations. The rest of the passengers of the flight were also offered gifts, Georgian wine and nuts.
“Today, at Kutaisi International Airport, we met Ana Heintz, the 2 millionth passenger of Wizz Air in Georgia. The company has served more than 2 million travelers in the past 7 years, however, within the scope of our intensified cooperation, we plan to cater for over 1 million passengers this year alone,” reads the Facebook post of Chogovadze.
