Peskov: Insults Addressed to the President and Russian Federation are Intolerable
The Kremlin has described the verbal offense and humiliation of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin by the Georgian journalist Giorgi Gabunia as shameful for the entire Georgian nation, Interfax, one of the largest Russian media platforms reports.
Dmitry Peskov, the Spokesperson of the Russian President also commented on the case, stating: “the insults addressed to Putin and the Russian Federation are absolutely intolerable and we condemn them.”
Peskov noted that such behavior, no matter what where the reasons catalyzing it, are unacceptable for the Georgian nation. He focused on the fact that Georgia is a country with a long history and rich cultural traditions, adding that what happened is a shame for Georgians.
The Spokesperson of Vladimir Putin said in the Kremlin it was noted that the government of Georgia has commented on the case and criticized the behavior and the way of expression of the Georgian journalist.
