Russia Might Resume Flights to Georgia

Russian media platform Kommersant has reported that the Government of the Russian Federation might revise its decision regarding the ban of flights from Russia to Georgia and resume them. Kommersant cites a source of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.

“If Georgia manages to stabilize the situation, stop ‘Russophobia’ and guarantee the safety of our citizens, we will be able to negotiate regarding flights,” reads the article.

On June 21, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on suspending direct flights from Russia to Georgia. The document came into force on July 8.
