Road Accident in Kobuleti Claims Lives of Three People
A tragic road accident on Batumi-Kobuleti bypass road on July 14 claimed the lives of three . All were members of one family, tourists from Poland traveling in Georgia.
As a result of the car crash, a 40-year-old man died on the spot, while his wife died after being taken to the hospital. An injured 5-year-old boy, the son of the deceased, passed away today at a hospital in Batumi. The health condition of the child was critical and it was impossible to transfer him to Tbilisi. His sister, 6, is being treated in Tbilisi.
A further nine were injured as a result of the road accident, most of whom were Polish. Two Georgian drivers are among the injured. According to the Minister of Healthcare of Ajara, Zaal Mikeladze, 9 injured are being treated in two hospitals in Kobuleti and their lives are not in danger.
An investigation has been launched in connection with the road accident.
