PM Rewards Resolute Support Mission Participant with a Residential Apartment
Mamuka Bakhtadze, Prime Minister of Georgia, with Levan Izoria, Minister of Defense, rewarded Senior Lieutenant Iveri Buadze with a residential apartment earlier today. Buadze was heavily wounded in the NATO Resolute Support Mission in Afghanistan in 2019. He later received life-threatening injuries during a suicide attack.
The Georgian military has recently returned to his homeland after long-lasting medical treatment in the USA and Germany, and is to continue serving in the defense forces of Georgia.
At the meeting with Buadze, the Head of the Georgia Government strongly accentuated the accomplishments of the Georgian Senior Lieutenant and expressed his gratitude to the family of Iveri Buadze, noting that he is a hero and a rolemodel of the Georgian spirit.
“He [Iveri Buadze] is a rolemodel of unbroken Georgian spirit, who has demonstrated with his own battle that Georgia is a homeland of great and strong people. Such examples should serve as rolemodels for future generations,” stated Mamuka Bakhtadze.
The residential apartment allocated for Buadze is located in the newly constructed block and its refurbishment is set to be completed by autumn.
The family of the Georgian Military also thanked the Prime Minister and Minister of Defense for their support.
