Bakhtadze Congratulates Ursula von der Leyen as President of the European Commission
Prime Minister of Georgia Mamuka Bakhtazis has congratulated Ursula von der Leyen as president of the European Commission. He writes it in a social network – Twitter.
“My most sincere congratulations to Von der Leyen on her elections as first female President of the European Commission. Look forward to working closely together to further advance and strengthen Georgia-EU ties and achieve greater goals in our relations.”
Before this, President of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili congratulated Ursula von der Leyen as president of the European Commission and mentions that as the president she is looking forward to a working meeting with Ursula von der Laine.
German Defense Minister Ursula von der Leyen was elected president of the European Commission. She will replace Jean-Claude Junker on January 1. Defense Minister will resign from July 17.
