MIA Arrests Director of Construction Company Regarding Worker’s Death

The Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested the Director of the construction company “GVK Hospitality”, Sh. B. (born in 1969), in connection with the death of the 16-years-old worker who fell from a building under construction at Dolabauri Street in Isani District of Tbilisi and died from his injuries on July 16.

"The investigation established that the construction company "GVK Hospitality" was conducting construction works with the violation of safety rules at Dolabauri Street N29 in Tbilisi. G.B, born in 2003, died while installing the elevator at the above-mentioned construction site on July 16, 2019," reads the statement released by MIA.

An investigation has been launched under Article 240 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, involving a breach of safety regulations during mining, construction or other works.
