Ship Sailing under the Flag of Georgia at the Coast of Mauritania is Burning

The Ukrainian ocean trawler “Ivan Golubec” which was carrying diesel fuel and fish and sailing under the flag of Georgia is burning at the coast of Mauritania. Ukrainian media disseminates the information.

According to the dumskaya.net 90 people (citizens of Ukraine and Russia) were on board when the fire broke out. One member of the crew died in the fire. The fire broke out yesterday, in the engine division, and soon spread to the deck. The captain ordered the crew to leave the ship due to the strong condemnation.

According to one of the eyewitnesses, the crew of the vessel was transported to other ships fishing in the area, as there were no fire and rescue vessels in the Mauritania fleet.
