Georgian Response on the Distorted Information about Abkhazia

The Embassy of Georgia to the Federal Republic of Germany has sent an official letter to the German Public Broadcaster regarding the incorrect and distorted information about the Georgian region of Abkhazia represented through the TV story, entitled ‘Abkhazia – Descending by a Rope on the Soviet Ruins’ on July 21.

“The Embassy of Georgia to the Federal Republic of Germany has reacted regarding the story ‘Abkhazia – Descending by a Rope on the Soviet Ruins’, aired on the First Channel of the German Public Broadcaster on July 21. An official letter has been sent to the leadership of the Broadcaster and the author of the TV story for representing the distorted facts. It has been noted in the letter, that the historical facts have been misinterpreted and that the story does not portray the actual reality of the occupied Georgian region of Abkhazia,” reads the post of the Georgian Embassy to Germany, published on through the official page of Facebook.
