Georgia, Nepal Waive Visa Fees for Dip.and Gov't Passport Holders

Diplomatic ties between Georgia and Nepal were launched in 2005. Over a decade later, the governments of the two countries have agreed to enhance cooperation and waive visa fees for diplomatic and government passport holders, thus contributing to facilitation of movement between Georgia and Nepal.

The relevant agreement was reached at a secretary-level meeting and signed by Das Bairagi, Nepal Foreign Secretary and his Georgian counterpart Archil Juliasibl, in the presence of Nepalese Minister of Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali on July 22, reports Nepali Sansar.

The citizens of Nepal owning ordinary passports will still have to obtain a visa prior to traveling to Georgia, whereas Georgian citizens will have an opportunity to receive a visa upon the arrival to Nepal at the border of the country.
