Georgian Wine on Tour in Asia
The popularity of Georgian wine is increasing across the globe. With aim of market diversification, the Georgian National Wine Agency (NWA) has launched yet another initiative entitled Georgian Wine Asia Tour 2019, to introduce a variety of Georgian wine in Hong Kong.
The event, hosted by Debra Meiburg, Director of the National Wine Agency contractor marketing company Meiburg Wine Media, brought together a number of representatives of local premium-class eateries and wine purchasers. Pairing Georgian wine with Asian cuisine was strongly accentuated during the evening.
This year, Meiburg Wine Media Company is to work towards the establishment of Georgian wine varieties in the Hong Kong premium sector, seeing the representatives of luxury restaurants and hotels, along with top-rated sommeliers and importers as the main guests of the upcoming events for the promotion of Georgian wine.
Aside from Hong Kong, within the scope of the Georgian Wine Asia Tour 2019 project and with the financial assistance of the National Wine Agency, Georgian wine has already been introduced in the capital of South Korea. Wine degustation is also planned to take place in the Fujian and Sichuan provinces of China. The tour is set for completion with the Georgian Wine Festival in Hong Kong and Shanghai.
