Police Arrest Founders of Oil company Frego

The founders of the Oil Company Frego, businessmen Giorgi Topchishvili and Vladimer Kvelashvili, have been arrested and sentenced to imprisonment according to the judgment of the Tbilisi City Court.

Reportedly, they were detained by the Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia.

The reason behind the detention of the businessmen is not clear at the moment.

Oil Company Frego appeared on the Georgian market in 2013.

Currently, the company operates 33 branded petrol stations throughout Georgia, of which 10 are in the capital city.

Frego imports fuel from different European countries such as Romania, Greece, Italy, Bulgaria, and Russia.
