German Tourist Dies in Lagodekhi

A German tourist has drowned in Lagodekhi, a town in Georgia’s Kakheti region. The middle-aged man fell into the River Ninoskhevi, near the Gurgeniani Waterfall, and died on the spot. His body was transferred to the Gurjaani Forensic Bureau.

Reportedly, the German tourist was visiting Lagodekhi with his wife. The investigation has been launched under Article 116 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages loss of life by negligence.
