2020 United National Exams to be Held with a New Model
University entrants in Georgia in 2020 will pass the United National Exams with a new model.
Mikheil Batiashvili, Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports and Sopo Gorgodze, Head of National Assessment and Examinations Center, held a press conference on the issue.
The new model envisages passing three obligatory subjects instead of four: 1. Georgian language and Literature, 2. Foreign Language, 3. Depending on the program – technical, humanitarian or natural science. The subject may be biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, geography, arts, civil education or general skills. Previously, university entrants had to pass four obligatory subjects within the United National Exams.
Allocating funds for students will be defined based on results in three obligatory subjects.
