Rescuers Save Tourists Injured at Ushba

Rescuers have saved tourists injured on Mount Ushba, in Georgia’s Svaneti region.

The injured tourists were taken to a medical facility in Mestia, where they are being provided with appropriate medical care.

Doctors say the condition of the injured is satisfactory and their lives and health are not in danger.

The Interior Ministry's Emergency Management Service and the Border Police received the notification that two Ukrainian tourists had been injured while climbing Mount Ushba and needed help from rescuers.

The helicopter sent by the Emergency Management Service was involved in the rescue operation. All relevant services were also mobilized on the spot.
