Geostat’s Report on January-July External Trade

The National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat) has presented the import-export data of January-July 2019, according to which, the external trade turnover of Georgia for the given time framework amounted to $7.07 billion, less by 0.2% in comparison with same time period of the last year.

Georgia’s exports increased by 12.3% and reached $2.1 billion in total, whereas there was a decrease in case of imports by 4.7%, compared to 2018, amounting to $4.96 billion, reports Geostat.

The negative trade balance of January-July 2019 equals to $2.86 billion, which is 40.5% of the country’s total trade turnover.
