Forest Fire Breaks Out in Ateni

Coniferous trees are burning in Ateni, Razmati Gorge, in Shida Kartli Region of Georgia, as the forest fire broke out there today, the Emergency Management Service reports. The employees of the Agency noted that they received notification about heavy smoke and fire on the spot.

Rescuers and firefighters are mobilized in Razmati Gorge. The representatives of Emergency Management Service said that 2 helicopters of the Border Police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have been involved in the firefighting operation.

What caused a fire is unknown at this time.
