Kaladze: Many International Politicians Use Social Networks
Mamuka Bakhadze resigned from the position of Prime Minister of Georgia earlier today, announcing the fact on his official Facebook page, where, along with the announcement about stepping down as the Head of the Government, he summarized his work.
The fact he made the statement via social network angered some members of the public and media. Kakha Kaladze, the Mayor of Tbilisi commented about the way of informing the society used by the former PM, noting that social media is one of the best and most commonly used communication sources in the 21st century.
“Facebook represents one of the best possibilities of communication. If you follow my activities, you will see that Facebook, a social network, is the major communication source, through which I am actively communicating with public,” stated Kaladze, adding “It is not obligatory to inform the population through television when there are social networks bringing together hundreds of thousands individuals.”
The Mayor of Tbilisi also pointed out to critics of the PM that a number of international politicians often use social media platforms such as Twitter, Instagram and Twitter.
Kaladze expressed his gratitude to Bakhtadze for his work and outlined the annulment of loans and projects implemented in the direction of education as two major successful incentives carried out by him.
