Tbilisi Becomes WTCF Member
At the city government sitting held earlier today, Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze stated that the Georgian capital has become a member of the World Tourism Cities Federation (WTCF). He accentuated the numerous benefits this membership is to bring to Tbilisi in terms of the development of the tourism industry and establishing new communications.
Kaladze spoke about the high-level of hospitality of the Georgian nation towards all foreigners regardless of their nationality, as well as the crucial importance of supporting the field of tourism in order to introduce the distinctive features of the country to the rest of the world.
Established in 2012, the World Tourism Cities Federation (WTCF), which was voluntarily formed by famous tourism cities and global tourism-related institutions under the initiative of Beijing, is the world’s first international tourism organization focusing on cities.
