Georgia Ranks 68 on Travel & Tourism Competitiveness Report 2019
Recently published data from the World Economic Forum shows that Georgia is the 68th country in Travel & Tourism Competitiveness out of 140 countries.
Published biennially, the Travel & Tourism Competitiveness Report and Index benchmark the T&T competitiveness of 140 countries and their different economies. Measuring the set of factors and policies that enable the sustainable development of the T&T sector, the Travel & Tourism Competitiveness Report shows the development and competitiveness of a country.
The report put Georgia in the subgroup of Europe and Eurasia. The world rating puts Georgia in 68th place, ahead of neighbor Azerbaijan (71th) and Armenia (78). The ranking gave Russia 39th standing.
The top five countries most competitive in Travel and Tourism according to the report are 1. Spain, 2. France, 3. Germany, 4. Japan, 5. USA
