Khazaradze Calls on Parliament not to Support Supreme Court Judicial Candidates
The process of interviewing Supreme Court judicial Candidates is underway at Parliament. Mamuka Khazaradze, the Founder of the Public Movement Lelo, assesses the selection process as “illegitimate” and calls on the lawmakers not to support the list of Supreme Court judicial candidates selected through this “illegal process.”
In this regard, the public movement “Lelo” will hold a press conference on September 23, at 12:00.
Interviewing the Supreme Court judicial candidates started on July 17. The High Council of Justice selected 50 candidates from 137 applicants in total.
At the next stage, 20 candidates were selected through secret ballot and the list was transferred to the Georgian Parliament for further discussion and approval.
