Peskov on Possibilities of Lifting Flight Ban between Russia and Georgia

Dmitry Peskov, Spokesperson of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin has expressed hope on the behalf of official Moscow about the launch of all the necessary preconditions for lifting the flight ban, imposed by Russia to Georgia in the month of June. Peskov also outlined the fact that the direct flights between the two countries have only been suspended temporarily.

“Air traffic has been suspended and not canceled forever. Thus, we hope that all the necessary preconditions will be launched in the due time for resuming the flights,” stated the Spokesperson.

Vladimir Putin signed a relevant document on imposing temporary flight ban from the Russian Federation to Georgia on June 21, following the political developments and increased tension between the two countries.
