Hotel Nikala Destroyed in Sighnaghi Blaze

Hotel Nikala burnt down in Sighnaghi. It was reported that the fire spread from the roof of the building. The exact cause of the fire has not been determined. 

All the pieces of furniture and major appliance were destroyed. The wine shop sharing a wall with Hotel Nikala was also partially damaged.

Hotel guests and staff members were immediately evacuated. Eight groups of local firemen worked to put out the fire. No-one was hurt during the operation to put out the blaze.

An investigation is ongoing to find the cause of the fire. The damage the owners of the hotel and wine shop suffered has yet to be estimated.
