PM Welcomes Resumption of Direct Flights between Georgia and Russia
“As we see that the resumption of flights will help both tourism and thousands of Georgians who have been facing certain mobility-related problems, we certainly welcome it, Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia stated yesterday.
As for the possible risks related to the issue, Giorgi Gakharia said that "risks should be managed just like in all areas of our lives."
"I welcome positive changes for the better, like the resumption of flights, for instance. We must manage risks in every area. Today, as we see that the resumption of flights will help both tourism and thousands of Georgians who have been facing certain mobility-related problems, we certainly welcome it. Our economy must be healthier, and our risk management quality must be enhanced. We must try to manage these risks to ensure against such excesses. And even if they occur, we must be ready to manage them," Giorgi Gakharia stated.
As for the recent meeting between the Foreign Ministers of Georgia and Russia, the Head of Government emphasized that Georgia must do everything to solve the most complex and pressing problems between the two countries.
