MIA Arrests Three for Giving False Testimony
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia has arrested three persons, including a mother and son and their lawyer Naira Otiashvili, who previously was the defense of Lado Grigalashvili - the person who brutally killed 20-year-old girl Ana Natsvlishvili in Temka district of Tbilisi in February 22, 2018.
The offense committed by them envisages from 4 to 6 years of imprisonment.
“The investigation established that the defendants gave false testimonies in connection with the criminal case launched in April 2019 regarding domestic violence due to the property dispute between relatives. In particular, the defendants – S.B. (born in 1977) and M.A. (born in 1959) gave false testimonies and accused a member of their family of violating the terms of a restraining order, which was confirmed by their lawyer, N. O,” the MIA reported.
