MIA Arrests Five Drug Dealers in Tbilisi and Gardabani
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia (MIA) has detained five drug dealers in the Ponichala District of Tbilisi and in Sartichala Settlement of Gardabani municipality, Mamuka Chelidze, Director of the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, said at a briefing on Thursday.
The police have detained: D.M. (born in 1983), A.E. (born in 1981), P.T. (born in 1978), G.A. (born in 1981) and A.I. (born in 1982) and seized narcotic drugs in particularly large amount – 11 packages of heroin and GEL 20, 970 as physical evidence.
The detainees have been charged with the selling of narcotic drugs illegally, the crime which envisages from 6 to 11 years of imprisonment.
