Explosion at Guramishvili Avenue Leaves Four Injured

Four people were injured as a result of an explosion in one of the residential buildings located at Guramishvili Avenue, Tbilisi. All four injured were hospitalized, their health condition is grave. 

The Emergency Situation Management Service says that according to preliminary reports, the explosion was caused by a gas leak.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has launched an investigation into the suspected gas explosion, saying that the investigation will look into violations of safety procedures.

Minister of Internal Affairs Vakhtang Gomelauri has arrived on the spot. 

Rescue and firefighting brigades and police officers are working at the disaster site.

All residents of the building are evacuated.
