Georgian Fashion Goes Global with Tbilisi Mercedez-Benz Fashion Week
“Turn the Georgian fashion industry into a profitable business” is the 2015 Mercedez-Benz fashion week's slogan, which will take place at the Museum of Contemporary Art from November 5th till 9th.
Influential buyers Keven McDermott and Michael Schenker will visit Tbilisi for the fashion week in order to take the work of the Georgian designers to the world market.
“Special collections will be presented. We will focus on fashion, style and designers instead of the show itself. We will have very interesting guests whose identities are still secret. But these are exactly the people who have to introduce the Georgian fashion to the world,” said Sopo Chkonia, the head of the fashion week.
Designers, models, buyers, journalists and high fashion admirers from all over the world have been invited to Autumn’s most fashionable show, including fashion blogger Bryanboy and Natalie Joos.
The fashion week will be covered by American, Italian and Russian Vogue editors and journalists, Marie Claire, New York Times, Elle, Collezioni, and others.
Mercedez-Benz has been a partner of prestigious fashion events for 20 years in over 50 countries. Berlin, Moscow, Istanbul, Milan, London, New York and other cities have hosted similar fashion weeks.
