2 Detained at the Homophobic Rally in front of the Amirani Cinema

The homophobic rally is on-going in front of the Amirani Cinema. The protestors are trying to get inside the building and stop the screening of the critically acclaimed first-ever Georgian gay love story ‘And Then We Danced’. Although the police are standing in cordons, not letting the homophobic groups in, 2 rally members managed to slip inside.

The officers stopped the citizens shortly. Now, the information has been spread that the police have detained 2 civilians for disturbing social order and not following the lawful demands from the officers. It is not yet known who these two people are, but they are most likely the ones who illegally entered the building of Amirani Cinema.
