Demonstration Underway in front of Parliament

Activists of the movements 'It’s A Shame' and 'Change' are holding a demonstration in front of Parliament, picketing one of the entrances to the building.

The participants of the rally plan to picket all three entrances, claiming that they will not allow lawmakers to leave the parliament building.

The demonstrators are expressing their protest against the fact that today the Parliament of Georgia rejected the bill on constitutional amendments relating to the electoral system in the first reading. 

Activists say they will continue rallies until they do get a guarantee that the elections will be held under a proportional system.
