Several People Killed on Ateni Street

Several people were killed on Ateni Street in Tbilisi.  Unconfirmed reports say that the individual first killed his mother and sister and then committed suicide. The Ministry of Internal Affairs confirms that several people are dead, however, the Ministry does not provide additional details.

The investigation has been launched under Articles 109 and 236 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages murder under aggravating circumstances and illegal purchase, storage, carrying, manufacturing, transportation, forwarding or sale of firearms, ammunition, explosives or explosive devices.
