British Corner Lights Up for Halloween

The well-known English language center – British Corner (BC) - arranged another extraordinary charity evening for its students and visitors on October 31, 2015.

The Halloween event included a special play and numerous musical performances all performed by the pupils of British Corner, including the children of the Georgian soldiers who were wounded or killed during the 2008 Georgia-Russia war, who are now studying English at BC for free.

“Welcome to our Halloween special, I hope you’ll enjoy the evening very much, but before we begin our play, I would like to thank the English Speaking Union (ESU), the British Embassy in Georgia and the NATO & EU Information Center for enabling us to teach the children of the deceased Georgian soldiers at our facility. They will be performing for you tonight,” announced the Head of British Corner and the President of ESU Georgia, Marina Tsitsishvili in her opening speech.

The special occasion was closed with a trick or treat, buffet reception and Halloween cake cutting. British Corner promises to surprise its students and visitors with numerous other celebrations as it has done ever since opening at the beginning of the year.
