Protesters End Picketing the Parliament
The protest organized outside the Georgian parliament building by oppositional parties is over for today. Organizers of the rally said they had yet to decide about future action plans.
The demonstrators claimed that the non-violent and peaceful form of picketing of state institutions will continue until the country holds elections with a proportional system.
“We have ended picketing the parliament today, however, we will hold protests the day the next parliament sitting is scheduled and arrange corridors of shame,” claimed Shota Dighmelashvili, one of the organizers of the ongoing protests in Tbilisi and the leader of 'It's A Shame' Movement.
“You see, the system is shaking, the system is being destroyed brick by brick,” he added.
