Irakli Garibashvili: Government to Subsidize Tangerine Harvest

The government of Georgia will subsidize the harvest of tangerines in the regions of Adjara, Guria and Samegrelo.

The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Garibashvili, stated before the cabinet meeting today that the government will discuss a potential investment of 2 million Lari in this sector.  

“In Adjara, Guria and Samegrelo, we are going to subsidize tangerine harvest, which we are discussing today,” Garibashvili said.

According to Garibashvili, the 2 million will be directed to a company, which will set a least a price of 20 Tetri for 1-kilogram non-standardized tangerine. Garibashvili said the government will  cover the half, 10 Tetri.
