GD Supporters Throw Bottle, Broom at Udumashvili, Splash Water at Bokeria

At a rally outside the Mtskheta City Hall, supporters of the Georgian Dream threw a bottle and a broom at one of the leaders of the opposition party National Movement, Zaal Udumashvili.

The incident happened when he was making comments for the media.

“They threw something hard at me, but it's nothing. This is how these authorities try to maintain power,” he said.

Police say the person who threw the items at him has already been arrested.

In addition, the Georgian Dream activists poured water on another opposition leader Giga Bokeria, the representative of the European Georgia party.

A police cordon has been set up between the demonstrators to ensure safety and public order.
