Monk Detained for Possession of Drugs in Zugdidi

Officers of Zugdidi Police Department detained two persons, including a monk, leading his activities at Atoni Mount, on a charge of illegal buying and possession of drugs.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) has reported that the detained monk admits to having committed the crime. A full investigation into the fact is in progress under Article 260 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.
