President of the Georgian Red Cross Chairing International Conference in Geneva

The 33rd International Conference of the Red Cross and Red Crescent is being held in Geneva on December 9-12. The Conference, hosted by Geneva every four years, is being chaired by Natia Loladze, the President of the Georgian Red Cross Society.

The Conference is being attended by representatives of 192 countries of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, member countries of the Geneva Convention, including the Georgian state delegation led by Deputy Minister of Justice Gocha Lortkipanidze, as well as the main humanitarian partners who, in addition to discussing global humanitarian issues, are committed to improving people's lives.

"Act Today, Create Tomorrow," is the slogan of the conference, which is aimed at improving the conditions of those affected by armed conflicts, disasters and emergencies, including climate change, as well as discussing the current and future challenges that people face on a daily basis.

The high-level international meeting, along with the International Communities of the Red Cross and Red Crescent, is attended by heads of state, executive and legislative authorities, as well as heads of the influential analytical centers.

The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies is the world's largest humanitarian network that unites the Red Cross and Red Crescent societies in 192 countries. Natia Loladze, the President of the Georgian Red Cross Society, is a member of the governing board consisted of 20 members.
