MIA Launches Investigation into Incident in Parliament

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has launched an investigation into the fact of the pouring of an unknown substance in the parliament building.

"An investigation into an incident that took place in Parliament was launched under Article 117 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which involves intentional infliction of serious damage to health," the Interior Ministry said.

Expert criminalists are working in the Parliament's sitting hall to identify the substance.
