President: I Will Visit Bean House and other Places Freely
"I will visit the Bean House, as well as other places, very freely," Georgian President Salome Zurabishvili told reporters, adding that she did not notice any lack of trust from the population.
"I haven't seen the distrust of my own population. I go out into the streets, I go to the regions, I meet many people with love. For me, this is the tool of measuring how the population values their President and not demonstrations held by five people. It is very important this relationship between the President and people not be interrupted. I will visit the Bean House, as well as other public places very freely. I will continue to walk and be with my people where needed and as needed," she said.
Zurabishvili's statement responds to her recent visit to the Bean House in Tbilisi while the opposition and demonstrators were still protesting on Rustaveli Avenue with unchanged demands regarding the electoral system.
Some members of the public have criticized the President for such behavior, calling it 'irresponsible'.
