Car Accident Near Mtirala Park Leaves Five Dead

Five people were killed in a car accident near Mtirala National Park, a protected area in the Ajara region, western Georgia. 

The Emergency Management Service of Georgia reports that the car fell into a ravine, which resulted in the death of all the passengers. 

The bodies have been recovered from the ravine and are being identified.

Reportedly, all the deceased were 17-year-old classmates.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has launched an investigation under Article 276, Section 8 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, involving the violation of traffic safety rules or rules for operating transport, which resulted in the death of a person.
