One Dead as Public Bus Crashes into Tree in Tbilisi

One person died after a public bus came off the road and crashed into a tree in Avlabari district, Tbilisi, earlier today.

The deceased was a middle-aged woman.

The driver was slightly injured in the accident.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has opened an investigation into the matter under Article 276, Section 8 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, involving the violation of traffic safety rules or rules for operating transport, which resulted in the death of a person.
